how hard is it to get a bid

I was just wondering how hard it is for a guy to get a bid to a decent fraternity in the spring? I am very social, but sometimes bad at small talk especially if I feel pressured/nervous which I imagine I would feel some during rush. What kind of questions/topics should I talk/ask about? I was thinking of rushing ATO, Beta, Chi Phi (which I know very few people on here respect but I have a few friends there and they seem like real down to earth good guys). Also what are recs and how important are they? I never heard of anyone who I know who rushed fall have recommendations for anywhere.

spring rush is the same as fall rush basically. if youre cool youll get a bid in the spring from the houses that probably wouldve given you a bid in the fall. as far as recs go, knowing people in each house is always helpful but not a deal breaker

if you can get a bid at ato or beta, i wouldnt rush chi phi.

every chapter is worth rushing if you are interested in it. I personally know kids that got bids from beta and ato but went chi phi instead. it really is just a matter of preference. do what feels right for you. good luck!
