what houses surprised you

ZTA and DDD really surprised me when I rushed. I expected the girls I talked to to be standoffish due to stereotypes I have heard but they were so genuine and natural conversationalists. Alpha Phi as a whole also surprised me just because it was the chapter's first official rush and it was very well done and organized. I expected it to not be up to par with other chapters that have been at UF longer and had more experience. I had more positive feelings (but not necessarily drawn to them) about KD, DG, AND DZ before I rushed but did not have a good experience there. Other girls in my rush group loved them though, so it may have just been me because everyone is looking for something different. Every other chapter went about as a expected whether good, bad, or neutral. PNMS, take your preconceptions and GR posts with a grain of salt because everything you originally thought can flip when you go through recruitment!

i actually went into rush expecting to be in a "soflo" house because i'm from miami. but i actually really loved KD and ADPI which i had heard were more southern. i expected to like XO DZ AXO more than i did, but their rushes kinda underwhelmed me.

How adpi and zta really have nice girls. I did not join either but I liked both houses.

I did a lot of stalking before rush and was definitely surprised at some houses.
In a good way: tri delt: down to earth, phi mu: all of my girls were really pretty/nice, gamma phi: fun conversation!!, axo: probably the easiest for me to talk to round one, theta: my girls were super down to earth
Bad way: aopi: I LOVED their insta and just didn’t click at all, dz: also loved their insta and didn’t click, ZTA: I thought my girls every round were boring

I heard a lot of girls talk bad about pi phi because it was far but the location didn’t really bother me so I kept them until prefs. I lived in Jennings so during tailgates I was jealous their house was right there

zta actually! during rush i was kinda dreading it but had a GREAT convo with the girls that rushed me. ended up somewhere else but it was a good surprise bc they werent at all wat i expected.

I loved adpi gtim the moment I walked in the door. I heard they were southern and religious, not true, I preffed there. Pi phi was very genuine and I had really good conversations with the girls. I was drawn to Aoii as they were really fun and out going, I did not like Zta at all. They were not that friendly . Axo was my least favorite house. They appeared desperate and the conversation were fake and forced. I did not get a bid from anyone of the houses above either. I joined a house that was not on my radar . Please go in with a open mind.

I did NOT like theta or adpi during rush, also XO felt very fake to me. AOPI, pi phi deeph and AXO I liked more than expected. Out of all of rush I had the best conversation at Deeph tbh.
