having trouble making friends, spring rush?

I'm an out of state freshman who is having difficulties making friends. I spend a lot of time studying or just talking to friends back home. I never thought I'd be the sorority type, I'm not the stereotypical sorority girl by any means. I'm pretty desperate to make more friends so I think I'm going to do spring rush. Realistically what sororities will I find genuine friends in that are doing spring rush?
