spring rush or wait until junior yr

Okay, so I recently decided I want to join a sorority. I'm a sophomore this year and I'm involved with "prestegious" organizations on campus, the biggest reason I waited is to make sure I could afford to join. Should I try rush in the spring or wait until I am a junior and do formal? Will being a Junior put me at a disadvantage?

if you’re super involved, have a good GPA, and make friends with people in sororities so that they can make sure you don’t slip through the cracks, you definitely have a shot at rushing well as a junior! sorority rush is really mainly about looks and/or who you know
