fall rush
by: UnsureIm going to be sophomore next year and plan on rushing a fraternity. I have no clue how rush works at all can someone explain it

So I was unsure how the whole rush process worked in the fall of last year so I ended up waiting to rush again in the spring. What I think they’re going to start implementing in the fall of 2019 is similar to the sorority/spring19 frat recruitment where you take a bus and visit every house for about 20 minutes each for the entirety of the first two days. Then after that you go to the houses you like the best throughout the remainder of the week.

To add to this, the first day will be all houses on row, while the second day will be all off-row houses. You should definitely not miss a house. While I’m very happy with the house I’m in, if they did this bus thing when I rushed it would have taken a lot of stress off my mind during rush.

This is pretty much it. Just make sure you sign up ($20 for a week of free food), and go to the information sessions or whatever to find out what you’re supposed to do. In the meantime relax and talk with some fraternity friends to get a feel for what you want out of rush.
