You should get as many as you can. I had them for houses that I thought I really wanted and a few others. I do think it helped me as they seemed to know me when I came in the door. The house I ended up joining did not know me and I had no rec but they, like many other Npc chapters had to find me one as a requirement. They wanted me enough to do this but you should get as many as you can
