sorority rush now or as a junior
by: helpi’m currently a sophomore and i don’t know if it’s better to wait until fall to go through formal recruitment (even tho i’d be a junior) or if i should join a chapter now that i like. the possibility of finding my perfect fit in the fall is what is making me consider waiting but i’m worried houses won’t want me since i’ll be a junior.

rush is a lot harder as a junior bc some sororitys don’t take juniors (but not impossible, ik juniors who get bids from top tier sororitys) but i’d try spring rush first. if you like the house a lot, accept the bid but just know that if you drop before initiation you can only rush again in the spring and prob only aphi/bottom will take you so be sure when accepting a spring bid. def do spring, but plan to also rush fall.

They can rerush in the fall during formal recruitment. If you accept a bid during continuous open bidding, you just have to wait until the next cycle of formal recruitment which would be fall 2019.
To the OP: do spring and try to find a chapter, it's more likely you'd get a bid now because rushing as a junior is really difficult, not unheard of, but definitely hard and you won't really relate to your PC. But if you do rush as a junior, really get involved because that's the only way you'll get a bid
