I heard that they had decided to be very selective, but not enough cool guys came through their rush. Sounds like they were a little overconfident about their ability to draw new members away from the top-tier fraternities. I also wonder if there was a decline in overall rush numbers. Although KS and AEPi claim to have had stellar rushes, a number of other frats were down in the size of their pledge classes. Maybe the bad press about hazing deaths is taking a toll on rush. But, it's smarter to take a smaller class of quality new members that it is to take a large class of jerks. I've heard that they are going to be mounting a more aggressive spring rush with brothers soliciting their friends to join. They are still the top of the middle-tier frats.

Ok, Delts wanted to be selective, but fewer guys accepted their bids than they had hoped. The rumor is that frat rush was way down this year. But, it looks like the frats beneath them are self destructing. Pi Kapp lost its fall pledge class to hazing. AEPi and KSig took in a bunch of goobers in their pledge class. And AEPi is in trouble for hazing, just like Pi Kapp. It's almost like there is a campaign to destroy frats. While sororities are expanding, frats are shrinking.
