aphi??

by: Worried

Am I the only one worried about Alpha Phi coming next year? They have a reputation for hazing/scandals and not following pan/rules set in place. With everything going on with greek life in the state right now, it seems like the last thing we need. Is there a way for the panhellenic council to discuss this kind of stuff? Or to voice concern? Seems like a bad idea...

Trying to start drama before they even are on campus? Please give concrete, verifiable examples.

Who Cares. APhi will be bottom tier for a while.

But mark my words. Alpha and gamma will be a middle tier house in 5 years while phi mu and sigma kappa and Axo will still be on the bottom

Every chapter on every campus is different. If a chapter from California for example does something wrong, it doesn’t automatically mean that all other chapters are gonna screw up too. Especially with this being a new charter, I don’t think they’ll do anything to ruin their place here. Don’t assume the worst, focus on fixing the problems we already have instead creating new ones that haven’t happen yet!

a new chapter is probably not going to get in any scandals. you have alums and nationals helping out - they aren't going to haze you or whatever.

most members are focused on building that chapter up, like they're all gung-ho about volunteering and establishing a name on campus. like for example gphi had many girls join because they care about service, but had already skipped formal recruitment.

I guess some individual could go crazy but as a new chapter they'll know to stay out of trouble since nationals is working with them 24/7.
