just wanna say as a senior in a low tier house i was in your shoes 3 years ago and i highly encourage you to stick it out at least for the new member period!! you just might end up liking the sisterhood you were invited to join and have a better experience than you think. i have come to love my house and am so glad i ended up sticking it out! best of luck

Be careful - There was a girl who rushed last year and thought she was too good for her bid... she worked all year to try and suck up to other houses thinking she'd be golden going thru as a soph. The house she dropped then dropped her first round this year...and after round 3 she got had NO houses to pref. On bid day she BEGGED the house from last year to take her back saying she knows she made a big mistake. LOL Not going to happen. Also all her friends who pledged other houses in the dorm KNEW she dropped almost at the end and they didn't want her either (including my house). The word gets around. Now that girl has NO house because she snubbed her bid. The house realized she didn't deserve or appreciate the bid she had. If you wanna be Greek embrace your bid, meet the other new members and really give it a go. Some of those low tier houses are moving up. You can either be part of making that happen or sit on the sidelines.
