snap bids

How do snap bids work, and how rare are they? How many (aprox.) were given out last year?

Very rare considering how many PNMs there are. You should also really ask your pi chis instead of this website. Basically if a house "drops" too many girls, not enough girls put them first, and not enough girls are on their bid list, they have to give out snap bids to meet quota. But chapters don't want this to happen, so most try really hard to avoid it

Before KD had to give out a bunch, they were almost non existent. I seriously would not count on getting one at all, it's not a good plan. Just pref at the houses that want you back and see how you feel after bid day

They are very rare. I don't know the exact amount last year but I would be surprised if it was more than 20. Panhellenic uses the RFM method in the computer system which tries to keep snaps to a minimum. Your best bet us to go through prefs and list all your houses on your bid card. This is his the system works.
