rush for girls vs rush for guys
by: PNMWhy do guys only have to put on some khaki pants and a polo for a couple of days and go in and out of houses as they please whereas girls going through rush have to spend an entire week and have to visit every house, spend hundreds of dollars on outfits, worry about being crosscut, etc.? Why can't the process for girls be more similar to the ifc instead of having several rounds that take up an entire week?

From a guy, I think Its a whole different approach. I think the reason would be that a large amount of girls will all run towards the top tiers like ADPi/ZTA etc. and if they don't get in quit. This mentality would really hurt a lot of sororities, especially the ones that are "ranked" as lower. In the end it might be a hard rush for girls, but you will 95% find a house that you are satisfied with. You will see in guys rush that guys go to a couple houses and if they don't get a bid from the one that want, just quit, whereas girls most likely get placed in a sorority.
