sororites hiding girls during rush
by: wowwhy do some sororities only rush half of their girls? do the women decide if they want to or not or are they selected... if selected it seems very superficial and mean i cant imagine a chapter doing this. which chapters are known to do this?

DDD DOES do this. One of my friends bought all of her outfits for recruitment and truly thought she'd be recruiting girls and she got to rush one round and then was put in a back room doing random things for the rest of recruitment. There's definitely a lot of be done during rush, but the way DDD handled this with my friends and NUMEROUS other girls was wrong and unsisterly.

I have lot of friends in Adpi. They do not do this. If you want to rush girls you can. If you want to be on the bid day committee you can do thiat Adpi is not superficial and does not care if the Pnm is a stunner. It is the whole package. I am in Ddd and we do not do that either.

^thats literally not true at all. I know for a fact that girls have to apply to rush and only certain (pretty) ones are chosen at ADPi...

You clearly have no idea how recruitment works. It is not plausible or realistic to have 200+ girls rushing. First of all- many girls don't even want to rush. Second- there are only about 80ish girls needed to actually rush during each party so it just makes sense to have a select number rather than have everyone show up with hair and make up done to sit around all day. In my chapter (and I know others do this) we take surveys so girls can be assigned to the jobs they want during rush. Stop trying to create drama about this it's actually so dumb.....

OKAy yes not everyone needs to rush, but doesn't it make more sense to pair up girls and pnms on similarities and common extracirriculars rather that pick all the pretty girls ahead of time??? pnms could match w sisters but don't have the chance Bc not all girls have the opportunity to rush.

Again you don't know what ur talking about. They do pair up girls based on similarities.. the girls who want to rush. Not everyone can rush it's just the way it is- but I have never heard of any girl who really wants to rush and did not have the opportunity

Then you shouldn't be in a sorority. The whole point of recruitment is to get the best girls, so if you don't want to rush and make your sorority look good, then you're hurting your own chapter. I think everyone should at least enjoy getting the best PNMs lol. Just my two cents

Being in a sorority is about the sisterhood you have for life, not competing for girls during one week of the year. You're in a sorority for the wrong reasons if you think everyone needs to put 110% into being competitive during rush.

Please don't comment on it if you are not in the chapter because that means you don't really know . I'm sure if you're in zta or adpi you wouldn't be commenting on this. So that means you don't actually know what the process is.
