my daughter is rushing

by: PNM Mom

My daughter is rushing at UF. I was in a UF sorority that you all call Top Tier.

I will be sooo upset if my sorority drops my daughter.

So, before you drop that legacy, think about it!

Legacy doesn’t matter any more. It hasn’t mattered for years at UF.

ADP moms are crying in their fb group.

Daughters were dropped. Went to other houses but everything is lower than ADP.

This post makes me sad. I hope your daughter makes her own way in the world and found her home. It’s not fair to push your house on her.

Yes this , I can’t believe they would not honor legacy policy for your mine etc daughter omg just horrific. Now my daughter is rushing at a univ that does not have my sisterhood but omg Such a slap in the face and a broken promise by sisterhood. I’m not changing my mind on that opinion

I just found this thread through a Google search. If any of this is true, it’s heartbreaking. Both, for mothers and for our daughters.

Ive been looking for legacy advice at UF and I just read through this entire thread. Good Lord!
Anyway, I was told to bring my daughter by the house to meet the sisters. We’ve been visiting the house with her every homecoming since she was in 8th grade. She’s a senior now this year… and this is when it will count!

If there is ANY member from your hometown, definitely connect with her and make sure your daughter meets her, and follows her socials. It is not considered dirty rushing until summer rolls around, and even then, they can say that they’re long time friends.
( your daughter following the socials, not you.)

Sounds like a good topic for a Taylor swift song.
