money

by: .

Another incoming freshman here. I'm thinking about rushing but a big factor for me is the money. My family is comfortable financially but still seems like a lot of money put into Greek life on top of college expenses so is it worth it? Also seems like lots of sororities judge you based on how much money you have.. Is it really like that?

girls will not judge you based on how much money you have, and if any do, then they're not worth your time anyways. is it worth it? well, it is what you put into it. I know some girls in sororities who are wasting their money because they do nothing with their sisters and don't make an effort to be social and don't make the most of it. but if you make friends and get involved and go to the house a good amount, it's definitely worth it. after all, this is the only time in your life that you get to be a part of anything like this, take advantage!

This is exactly true, it is worth the money if you also put time & energy into it. If you know in advance that you don't have time to devote, you really may feel it was a waste of money.
