advice for pnms

by: RT

1. Go through rush with an open mind.
2. Do not pick a sorority based on tiers. Go where you feel comfortable! There are plenty of women who turn down top houses and love where they are. There are women who love their top houses as well. Basically, there are wonderful women in all tiers.
3. Rush is brutal. Most likely, you will get cut from a house you had your heart set on. Do not take it personally, there are so many girls vying for limited space.
4. Take this website with less than a grain of salt. There is self ranking, and when a house is ripped apart, it is by its closest competitor.
5. The reality is looks DO matter. Use the summer to get in shape, go to the gym, get a cute hair style, and learn make up tips. Take care of your skin. Houses do want attractive women! It is okay if you are preppy, trendy, southern, hipster, but update your wardrobe! You'll feel better about yourself overall.
6. At the end of the process, you will know where you belong. Trust your instincts!

ONLY 320 LUCKY LADIES WILL GET BIDS FROM THE TOP TIERS, ADPI, ZTA, KD, DDD... MOST WILL GO TO THE MIDDLE TIER, SOME TO THE LOWER TIERS. GO WITH YOUR HEART,THAT IS WHERE YOU BELONG.

I think it's just 80 times 4 since the top tiers each usually take pledge classes of 80
