alpha phi

by: Star emoji

Do you all think when Alpha Phi joins campus in a year it'll be the same kind of thing as when Gamma Phi joined? I.e. do you think they'll take upperclassmen and other nontraditional Greeks for their founding class? Or do you think they'll be more choosy?

Alpha Phi recruits heavily on looks nationwide, so I doubt it'll be as easy as Gamma Phi Beta. Overall, I'm sure they will pull out all the stops during recruitment (they'll likely have the funding for it) to get the absolute best girls possible. Lucky for nationals, a lot of Alpha Phi legacies will be up to their standards so it shouldn't be too difficult.

I predict Alpha Phi will start off at middle tier from the beginning then rise to the top once their house is built and they are more established.

It's not a walk in the park for any new sorority to come on campus. No matter what sorority you are, if you're new you have to rise and prove yourself with time. And Alpha Phi is no different, an example is when they started a LSU chapter recently. They're currently bottom tier if you look at LSU's greekrank and they're maybe 2-3 years old.

this is so dumb. alpha phi will be just like any other colonizing chapter. think about FSU- they have a decently established alpha phi chapter which is bottom middle tier at best. for example, zta is the worst sorority in many campuses up north where SK is top tier in other locations. it all just depends on the location not a perceived "national reputation"
