scared

by: 2020

I'm a baby gator and I'm pretty excited to rush in the fall. I never really cared about tiers or any of that but recently some of my Greek friends have me telling me things that scare me. Do people reall judge you by your letters on a daily basis? And will guys really walk away if they hear your letters are "lower"?!!!? Is this for what is considered bottom bottom sororities or can the middle face this too?? Wtf UF

Don't let Greekrank or anyone else dissuade you. This website makes everything look way more dramatic than it actually is. I'm in a fraternity and I can tell you while there are certain stereotypes associated with every sorority, there are beautiful genuine girls in every sorority. In fact, I'm in one of the upper mid fraternities, and this girl that I'm falling for hard is in arguably the lowest "tier" sorority. It's only an issue if you make it one, but generally only the shallow people who act like high schoolers do that.

You're not a baby. Please refrain from calling yourself "baby" anything. This goes for being a Gator and a new member of whichever house you may pledge. There's nothing creepier or dumber than hearing "baby" precede any sorority when referring to its newest pledges. You're welcome.

If there's an absolute DIME in a lower tier sorority though, the guy won't care what sorority you're in. It's only if you're average that frat guys go running. Hello, it's like that in the real world too!!
