Is it possible to be dropped if you are a legacy for a sorority here? How often does it happen?

Yes it is possible, yes it is common, it just depends on the sorority. Mine almost never drops legacies and we're middle tier, but it's more common for "top" sororities to drop girls.

In 2016, there are so many girls going through that are legacy since there was such an increase in women going to college since the 70s. It was not really like that before so sororities are forced to have to drop legacies because sometimes the legacy just does not fit in. I am a legacy of two top houses (my mom and my grandmother) and I was dropped after round 2 from each. My mom and grandmother were shocked and upset but I got into a house that is considered mid tier. I am happy. its MY house and I know I belong there - not just because my mom or grandmother were there.

It depends on the sorority ... My sorority cannot drop legacies unless theres an extreme circumstance .. However many top tiers will keep legacies til round two as a courtesy and then youre on equal playing field as everyone else
