Sigma Alpha Mu - ΣΑΜ Fraternity Ratings at URI

Sammy always gives off that “we swear we’re lowkey elite” energy… but nobody actually asked. They’ll tell you they’re “selective,” but somehow everyone knows at least three random kids from their hometown in it. They try to act mysterious and exclusive, but it’s more “group project that never met before the due date” vibes. And the social presence? It’s like they’re constantly almost about to have a huge moment… and then it just kinda doesn’t happen. You hear the hype. You never quite see the result. They’re not bad — they just feel like they’re permanently in their “rebuilding year.” Every year.

These guys parties suck ass imo. Always posting about themselves online and everyone knows. Party with bottom sororities and half the time throw opens bc no one will party with them.

Went here for a couple parties beginning of the year, was so pleasantly surprised, their pc looks really good, (compared to past years), and their parties have definitely improved. Guys were all nice, they def just need to put up more of a fight against frats like Pike and Taxi

safest frat on campus if your a girl, these dudes are respectful and really just nice guys and love eachother care abt having fun and making sure ppl are safe

Crazy friendly to everyone especially to rushes with a few really good party houses. It’s a smaller chapter right now but it’s quickly growing especially this year 2024-2025.

i love sammy!! everyone i've met is super nice and always goes out of their way to make sure everyone is having fun and is safe at all times. they really value their guests over everyone. every brother seems really close to each other and loves to have a good time at parties!

Sigma Alpha Mu (SAMMY) is a smaller, newer frat on campus, they came in 2018, well technically reestablished. They have around 45 guys in as of 11/2/2023. They are very nice and don't have superiority complexes. Went to one of their events and got along with just about everyone. Definitely not the most popular but chill group of guys. Partys are definitely lit but overall, not really a typical " party frat". More focused on getting good grades along with some fun as well. They are forced to associate with Delta Phi Epsilon (low tier sorority). Only con really.

All around decent frat at URI, the parties are a good time and you don't have to worry about your safety but they aren't the biggest or craziest parties on campus. They will always be involved in greek life but will never be the vocal point.

I like this chapter because they seem like they actually like each other like brothers. I’ve heard good that the parties are fun but also safe. I don’t feel like I have to watch my drink.

I like this chapter. They are nice, have open parties that are safe, and actually look out for everyone at the parties.
