not interested in sorority

If a PNM is not interested in a house, should we politely tell them so?

I'm not really sure how you'd word that one without it coming off as rude/pretentious. I would just go to the house, be polite, and at the end of the day if it's not for you, just keep ranking it on the bottom of your list and don't accept a bid. I will say to try to keep an open mind. OSU has very diverse chapters, so maybe you didn't mesh well with the girls you talked to this weekend, but you might instantly click with the ones you talk to next round.

So how do you think would be a polite way to phrase that. Should we "politely" tell you if we aren't interested in you? No, because there's not actually a polite way to do that.

There will be plenty of more actives to meet - and for all you know every other house could drop you - so maybe hold off on telling a house you aren't into them. Think of it as a way to practice your conversation skills, to learn about other chapters, and to meet new people. Besides, the house will probably be able to tell you don't like them anyways and will happily drop you.

Smh at these entitled PNMs

Wow you sound really rude and definitely entitled. I hope you don’t join my chapter. ....... and yes I’m in a top tier house. Good luck with your attitude.

As rounds progress you hopefully won’t have to deal with that. I would just divert the conversation away from what they want to talk about. It might be painful but just keep putting them at the bottom of your list and still be kind to them. There’s so many girls going through recruitment and when they find the ones who are passionate about their chapter, you will be bumped off their list.

Never tell the chapter you don’t want to join, because they joined and want to find members that love it just as much as they do.

Think of how you would feel if a chapter “politely” told you that they were not interested in you.
