Alpha Phi members have always represented their chapter proudly and with enthusiasm. These girls like to have a fun time, are friendly, naturally smart, and have a great sisterhood. On the first day I really loved this chapter. The girls were so pretty, well dressed, friendly, and happy to be there. By the second day I thought this could definitely be the place for me. Sisterhood round was even better. I met amazing women who were driven, outspoken, put together, and seemed genuinely sweet. Literally everything seemed perfect. But it was on the last day of recruitment that I saw these girls in a different light. The sweetness wasn't the same, the drive seemed more of a cover up to make themselves look better, and the conversations weren't as invested. It was weird to see how fast things had changed in one day. In the beginning I didn't believe the rumors or their reputation. But by the last day I definitely saw it when I heard members talking about each other and other sororities while my girl was walking me to a different room. Moving forward I hope that new PNMs keep this in mind when choosing a sorority, and that our Panhellenic experience with them will be genuine.
