Old Dominion University sits in Norfolk, Virginia — a mid-size public school in the coastal Hampton Roads region with a student body big enough to support a solid Greek system across multiple councils. The IFC and Panhellenic councils cover the more traditional fraternity and sorority chapters, while the NPHC and Multicultural Greek Council round out the scene with a strong presence of historically Black and culturally-based organizations. That mix is pretty reflective of ODU's campus overall, which draws a diverse student population from across Virginia and the mid-Atlantic.

The number of active chapters is reasonably spread out between fraternities and sororities, and you'll find well-known nationals represented here — Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Kappa Sigma, and Theta Chi on the IFC side, and groups like Zeta Tau Alpha, Kappa Delta, Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Phi, and Alpha Xi Delta among the Panhellenic sororities. On the NPHC side, all the major Divine Nine organizations are present, including Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, and others.

ODU doesn't have a traditional Greek Row in the way that big SEC or ACC flagship schools do.
