why do sororities care so much about their ranking?

Seems like fraternities barely care about their ranking compared to sororities. Half the discussions page is sororities rankings themselves to make themselves feel better. Guess that’s what happens when you pay for popularity....

This site has caused nothing but a decline in greeklife. People are far more concerned of image and their position on the social ladder than meeting people and building relationships

Not even a litlle true there are elitists in every greek org. Girls get kicked out/shunned at parties because of their letters or lack thereof and guys get disrespected and have girls who won't talk to them for sake of hurting their sorority's image
