this has been answered so many times, just look at previous posts. you never have any idea which sororities are going to be doing it. informal is when a sorority hasn't reached their quota (girls drop, transfer, don't accept bid, etc.) and panhel tells them they need more girls, but usually only 1-3. this can happen to any sorority but no one will know for a few weeks and/or fall semester. it's nothing like formal rush and you honestly don't have a shot at it unless you know girls in it because it's based on referrals.
