If someone only puts one sorority on pref night, what is the likeliness they’ll get a bid?

it completely depends on how that sorority ranks you. if they rank you highly then you'll get a bid, otherwise you don't. suiciding doesn't give you a better chance of getting that sorority, it just means that if your #1 doesn't give you a bid, you don't want one from anywhere else.
