We don't know you and didn't hear your conversations so we can't really answer that. It could have been a lot of things like grades, or reputation. Conversations are also two easy streets, just because you enjoyed it doesn't mean they did. I know it's hard, but try to put it behind you and get to know the chapters you have left.
