legacy
by: pnmI am a legacy at one of the sororities & I really like it but I can’t tell if they like me. A few of them came by today just to say they were happy to have me back but weren’t assigned to talk to me, but I’m not sure if that means anything. Does anyone know if I have a good chance?

Every chapter is different! Usually if you (as a legacy) make it to pref you will get a bid- almost all sororities go by that kind of rule. Until then, however, every sorority is different and you could get cut whenever. Usually legacies are required to be talked to by more than just general members.

I'd say it is! Don't put too much stock in it because there's always a chance you'll get cut in any round (about three girls came to say hi to me in one round, but the conversation I was having at the time was kinda awkward and not great, so I was cut), but that means they remembered you, which is always good. I always say hi to girls that were memorable. However, they probably don't have a say in whether or not you make it to the next round if they didn't sit down to talk with you.

I hope it means good things but it also could mean that tonvote put a legacy they need x number of votes and aonpeople had to say hi to vote Also, to be honest most actives say glad to see you. It is just polite. I hope it means great things but you really never know

Usually legacies that make it to pref will be at top of the bid list but before pref round, cuts do happen.
