by: curlyfries

So I have a 2.5 GPA exactly what sororitys would I be cut from? And if you’re below their minimum is it no exceptions or do some give you a chance?

if you're taking j term classes you are allowed to participate until your j term grades are released, and THEN if your GPA does not make the cut, you are forced to drop by Panhellenic

GPA is a pretty big definer for a lot of top tier sororities and does kinda impact the rest as well. would work really hard on ur charm in order to make a good impression of ur personality and character because if they really like you, then they will speak up and say you aren’t your gpa, but if you don’t really make them remember you then you might be cut.

i mean... its a pretty big definer for all sororities. most are literally required by nationals to cut pnms who don't make minimum gpa

It is a huge factors for sororities and you will see the number of sororities you're asked back to drop DRASTICALLY between the 1st and 2nd rounds because they make their initial cuts solely based on how you look on paper. Don't take it personally, but you can always drop out of recruitment and try again next next year if you REALLY want one of the sororities with a high GPA.

This bums me out. I'm forced to take easy classes , because I'm scared to death to take risks, because if my GPA drops my sorority will hate on me. It's a really sad space to be in. I wish I could get out of my comfort zone, and take a risk, and not be afraid of bad grades. But the GPA bullies are real at this school, hence all the communications majors.
