gpa
by: PNMI finished with below a 2.5 GPA fall semester. I'm currently taking two j-term classes that will boost my GPA above a 2.5 after the term gets over. Will I be able to rush since I have a 2.5 now? I've heard different things, just wondering if anyone knows the exact answer. I was hoping I wouldn't have to rush underground.

You're going to be dropped from a lot purely because you're not eligible. Even though Miami requires you have a 2.5, most sororities require you to have at least a 2.6 (You're given a pamphlet the orientation night of rush that outlines all the sorority's requirements.) I rushed with a 2.7 and got dropped from a ton of sororities the first round because I just did not meet their cut off. I ended up going informal and got a bid from my favorite sorority, so there are definitely ways you can still be in greek life if formal recruitment doesn't work out!!

Ok, so sororities want to fill their roster with communications and theater arts majors. I get it now.
