rush week
by: BeastJust curious...how does rush week work for fraternities. Like what is the schedule of things to do each dayand timeline for how things progress from sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc.

Sunday is when you get to learn about all the chapters through presentations and what not. Monday through Saturday is just open houses. You will have the opportunity to get to know brothers and you will receive bids throughout the week if it goes well. Some houses will close up earlier in the week due to feeling comfortable with their pledge class size while others will be open the entire week.

After Sunday you should have it narrowed down to 5-6 houses
Houses know your #1 is where you go first Monday night.
If you are really feeling a conection stay the entire time. The hardest thing for me was knowing when to leave and how long to stay. You want to to give yourself opportunity to make a conection but see as many houses as you can. I honestly went to one for the entire first session and split the second session with two other houses. Second day I went back to my first choice for the entire first session and split the second with two new houses. I got a bid the second night from my first choice. It was a risky way to do it but it worked for me. My friend went to see as many houses as he could and didn't make a connection and didn't get a bid. Most houses close out after night 3.

I went to 6 houses on Monday
2 Houses on Tuesday
Same two houses on Wednesday
and got a bid at both Wednesday Night
It was super stressful because Tuesday Night is a HUGE bid night.
The majority of my friends got a bid Tuesday
Most Mid-Top houses stay open Wednesday but have few spots left
