sorority rush

What is the likelihood that a girl would go through rush and get no bids? Does that happen often?

Miami garuntees bids! So if you go through the process and you follow the rules you will get a bid!

Sometimes people don't get a bid but you can always informally rush

okay thats deceiving about miami guaranteeing bids because you need to make it to pref round before youre guaranteed one. if youre dropped from every sorority before pref round you will not be getting a bid or if you suicide a sorority after pref round. it doesn't happen often that youre dropped from every sorority, but it does happen to people.

sorority is right. Miami only guarantees bids if you make it to pref round and "maximize your options." That means you have to rank every sorority every round and you have to get invited back to at least one every round. If you make it to pref and you followed those rules and you rank all sororities you visit during pref round, you will get a bid. Lots of girls only make it to pref round with one or two sororities. Now that Phi Sig started doing formal, a lot more girls are able to get bids in theory, but I think in practice like 100-200 fewer girls actually finished recruitment this year. Stats are on the greek life website but they're deceiving because even though it says most girls get their "first choice" some of those girls only had one sorority left anyway... Recruitment is an exhausting process.
