transfer freshman help

hi!! i really want to get a dorm at sandhu hall!! they are the nicest, but I heard you can’t pick, is there anything I can do to get the dorm I want? like i’m 100% rushing, I also don’t know anyone here & want to meet other girls rushing or get a roommate that is rushing too and is similar is there anything i can do? it’s harder because with being a transfer it’s hard to find someone to dorm with! I could always get a single but that’s lonely!!!!!!
