The negative posts are from some snarky girls in other sororities and a couple who didn’t get in. If your goal is to get wasted at as many frat parties as possible, Theta might not be for you. If you want a great sisterhood with amazing, smart women who do fun and meaningful activities, Theta is perfect. Theta’s reputation nationally is excellent. Don’t let a few negative reviews on Cal Poly’s site detract you from this awesome sorority.

Theta is a great house with a lot of wonderful women who are trying to build an amazing sorority. You have a great charity that they support and I love that they’re close to campus.

Thetas are kind, social, intelligent, and creative! They know how to have a good time but also highly value education and self-improvement.

Kappa Alpha Theta is known for a strong sisterhood, their involvement in the community, and being inclusive. Most of the girls are nice and outgoing but they are a very small sorority. Some of them go out and party but Theta is definitely not top tier.

All the girls are really nice but I wanted to clear up what the last two reviews said. They are definitely not "rising to the top" or "a top house" at Cal Poly. They are considered more of the bookworm/awkward type but they do have an amazing sisterhood and do a lot of philanthropy events. The other comments are misleading because I don't think I have ever seen a Theta at a frat party, nor do I hear about them having mixers with the frats. Again, super nice girls but definitely no "clout" around campus (which doesn't matter if you're in greek life for the right reasons).

Kappa is definitely moving up in the ranks. It is a newer house but has already established itself as a top house. Kappas are down to earth and beautiful, as well as smart. They are well rounded but still know how to have a good time.

Thetas are one of the top houses at any school and so it goes for Cal Poly. They're super involved in philanthropy and are pretty chill. The bad votes come from a girl who didn't get in - same person every time - not "the truth"

all around nice girls, met some that were a little less friendly. seem to be more involved in campus and philanthropy stuff than other sororities.

By far the most diverse sorority on campus, in many ways. There are Thetas who go to frat parties every weekend and Thetas who are more of the introverted bookworm type. Even though there is a very wide range of personalities it seems like they have a great sisterhood and it's probably easier for them to be tight because they are one of the smaller chapters. Not a top house but the new MC is promising so Theta might be on the up in the next few years.
