sorority chances?

by: FSUNOLEZ

Okay I really want to rush but I'm having second thoughts because of the way I look. I'm very tall and very overweight.. but I'm very well groomed and take pride in my personality and the way I dress, even though I'm not a typical skinny girl. I'm afraid that my weight will be the difference between me getting into a house or not. Do many sororities take weight into consideration?

If you want to rush, keep in mind the cost of registration. If you have doubts, rush spring. I do not believe there is a fee and you wouldn't waste the money if houses did not accept you in spring. No one wants to pay $200 and not get a bid.

I would advise against rushing spring because only a handful of houses do spring and only about 3-4 girls generally get chosen & its usually the gorgeous ones that have a lot to offer the organization or the ones that already have really good relations with a lot of the girls

Worst case scenario, you'll get cut by all the superficial houses and end up with one that actually accepts you for who you are

The original post was from 2015. Other than the girl who first posted coming on and telling us what she decided, lets let this thread die.
