dropped after bid day.. re rush in spring?

I went through formal recruitment this fall and received a bid to the house I did not pref. I ran home and knew it wasn't the right fit for me so I dropped. Many of my friends are currently in sororities and I am still curious about joining, but will I be affected in formal recruitment next fall since I have already received a bid from a house, even though I was never initiated? Is it worth going through recruitment again or will I get dropped before even getting to the house? And will the results of recruitment likely be different, or am I wasting my time?
