Columbia University - CU 4.0 Since Columbia is in New York lots of the social scene is downtown, but greek life still has a large presence. The frat and especially the sorority rush this year was super competitive (the largest number of rushes in history I heard). The people who are in greek life tend to be like a little more social, attractive, and wealthy then those not in greek life but thats typical. The sororities and frats do skew to be very wealthy, but thats expected I guess

Columbia University - CU 2.3 Every frat here is tiny and Greek life in general here basically doesn't exist... dude like I know I don't go to a southern school but come on. The funniest part is that sororities think they are too good to mix with two of the like five frats here because of housing or whatever in the hell theta assumes is important and the tiny frats here don't work together on anything, thus causing a boring environment overall.

Columbia University - CU 3.8 Greek life at Columbia has been increasing dramatically in recent years, especially due to increased number of sororities on campus. Almost all the houses are owned by Columbia so they have to compete within the Greek life standards to maintain their brownstone privileges. The notable exception is Beta Theta Pi, which owns their own brownstone on 114th. Definitely getting way more competitive to get a bid—out of the 65+ people rushing my frat, only 11-12 were given bids. Sorority recruitment sucks, but that's just because all sorority recruitment sucks.
