Since Columbia is in New York lots of the social scene is downtown, but greek life still has a large presence. The frat and especially the sorority rush this year was super competitive (the largest number of rushes in history I heard). The people who are in greek life tend to be like a little more social, attractive, and wealthy then those not in greek life but thats typical. The sororities and frats do skew to be very wealthy, but thats expected I guess
