Kkg/ Chi O: are at 99.9-100% recruitment retention which makes them the most exclusive. Add in much needed connections and there is a slim chance pms are getting in these two.
Pi Phi and Zeta are about 95-100% keeping them top tier too. Connections are important, but not as crucial as Chi O and Kappa.
All the other houses are below these numbers, but some are still really high (middle tier houses ddd, kd, adpi at 80-99%) and then the lower houses under these numbers.
Panhellenic works really hard to keep the pmns in recruitment and not have them drop out if they are released from the "top" four houses. Every house is different and amazing all at the same time. Truth is, the middle tier and lower tier houses honestly have the nicest girls and the best sisterhood. They are the most liked houses on campus. I wish ranks weren't based on things like recruitment retention numbers and connections, but that's just how it is.

Most PNMs need to prepare yourself for the first round of cuts. They are deep and hurtful. Over 2000 girls are going through rush, and chi o/kkg will probably only invite 400 back to round two.
It’s brutal, but remind yourself it’s not because you did anything wrong, it’s simply because they don’t already know you.

OK, Panhellenic calling this! Kappa is notorious for trying to dismiss PiPhi from top tier, who had BETTER results than kkg. ChiO had much better results than kappa. Cmon, play nice.

first year out and i miss it so here i am. I was on what you would call mid house rush team and advisor told us kkg was top in retention followed by xo then piphi. top 2 were very close and piphi not too far behind. retention just means their top pref girls they invited came to their house and they didn’t get cut by many. that’s it. pnms need to go where they want to not what stats tell them. great girls in all houses including mine. would not trade it for the world

Yes, this!!! Anyone knocking on anything pi phi, kappa, chi o is crazy train and laughable, those are hard to get in to but you don’t have to make one “better that the other”
stop being mean. All houses are good. You will find your people outside of those three. Promise. But quit with the crazy lies drama and mean girl stuff.

Flip side of this - the “top” houses are filled with little cliques of girls who all know each other and enjoy the comfort of being in a High-School 2.0 environment (as well as rando daughters and granddaughters of high-powered/high-value alum who “have” to get bids even if they don’t fit).
Most if not all girls who want these houses want this sort of closed network. These are not girls who are looking to branch out or greatly expand their social circles.
If you don’t have connections yet think you may be one of those unicorn PNMS with some special “it” that helps you crack a top house - be very careful what you wish for.

This is spot on! Who wants high school 2.0? I want to make true friendships and not be around the mean girl cliques. I know so many super high achieving girls who got cut by all the top and upper mid houses because they weren't a legacy, didn't have a Alumn Mom placing them with their daughter and her pack of under-achieving average friends. THIS is how the so-called mid to bottom houses will rise because they're passing on some of the best of the best'

Top/mid/low/ Top tier - XO Pi Phi & kkg all have the same % and have to do heavy cuts. ZTA/DDD are next. This doesn’t meant that aaa the other sororities aren’t great. It is about Pi Phi, XO have over half their pledge class list created …maybe 3/4 already.. it’s a social club not a big deal.
