asu greek life is falling off
by: greekrank
Greek life at ASU isn’t what it used to be. It feels like the energy and culture have shifted a lot over the past few years. Back in the day, it seemed like joining a fraternity or sorority was all about genuine friendships, late-night bonding, and fun traditions. Now, it feels a lot more curated — social media, branding, and image seem to take center stage.
The parties are still there, but they’re different. A lot of the older “homey” vibes have been replaced with big, flashy events and Instagram aesthetics. Some chapters feel more like production crews than close-knit groups of friends. It’s not bad — just different. The sense of community is still there in pockets, but it’s not as universal as it once was.
I guess every generation changes the scene, but for anyone who remembers Greek life ten years ago, it’s definitely not the same.
