Pretty much accepts everyone because they are desperate for more members. Great reputation nationally but at JHU, definitely bottom tier, The most annoying thing about these girls is that many think they are super cute and popular just because they are in a sorority....which is funny because being in Theta actually means the opposite

I'm not upset that someone decided to rank a sorority "bottom tier". People have made/ make the same comments about kappa not about not being competitive and much worse about piphi (it's practically the point of this site) and I definitely have my own opinion on Theta girls that I'll refrain from posting for the sake of my point. What pisses me off about this post is that someone is "annoyed" that when these girls got put into theta, whether on their own volition or not, and they still were happy, confident, living their lives, going to their mixers and parties etc. Honestly, do you expect people to just stop existing/ exist in pure misery locked in a dorm room just because they aren't in our sorority? Idk if it's insecurity, pure anger, jealousy or whatever, but something struck a nerve with me when I saw that OP was "annoyed" by girls having any type of confidence or happiness because they are in Theta. This is where things turn from opinion into bullying.

i think i understand where OP was coming from in that there are some girls who believe that they are in some way "better" or "more real" than other girls in other sororities, which can be hurtful to girls in other sororities. I agree that "annoying" maybe wasn't the best way to put it, and these girls are by no margin the majority, but it is something that i have experienced, and I can tell you, it is unpleasant when you're on the receiving end of this negative behavior.

I'm confused if you all are on the wrong page or something? Theta girls are more down to earth and kind than any other sorority! There are a lot of things you can say about thetas but "condescending" or "degrading" really aren't like any thetas ive ever met (or lived with for that matter).

Just saw this post. Theta got a GREAT pledge class. You have to admit Theta has quickly become a strong sorority at Hopkins. Loved their spring fundraiser, Rock the Casa.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at Johns Hopkins University - JHU 4.6 After I got dropped by Alpha phi and Kappa during recruitment I dropped, but I've met/ I knew a few theta girls from our class and they're really cool to hang out with and are really funny. I think I will re rush next year and try for theta this time!
