Here's the problem with this thread - it could encourage pnms to drop in order to join SK with false ideas in their head. First of all, they will be lower tier at the beginning - you don't just get placed head of the pack until you've established yourself on campus - takes at least 4 years, maybe longer. Founders are usually not the best pledge classes. Once a chapter graduates most of those women, you usually get a sense of who the chapter is. Founders will encompass all 4 classes of IU students - and freshman shouldn't think they have any advantage in membership opportunities. They will fill 1/3 of the founding class, which will probably be about 120 women or so. They need to recruit upperclasswomen who have leadership experience and maturity and can't afford to have a majority of the sorority graduate at the same time. Sigma Kappa will do fine, but it's a years long project and they have to earn respect. Want an example? - Look at KD at Purdue. That's a strong national and they are struggling socially at Purdue. They will do fine too - but it takes time. PNMs-don't go through recruitment thinking you can always go SK. If you have an open mind and put in your best effort, you can and will find your chapter.
