There is only sorority informal recruitment if there are chapters who do not make quota or have girls who do not accept their bids or drop within a few days of bid day. When a chapter has just one or two openings, they usually fill them from within. Meaning, they look for girls who dropped out of recruitment prior to pref but were still attending their chapter or if they know girls who signed up for recruitment but did not go through after all or they ask the girl in the chapter if they know someone who is interested. Several chapters had to give out bids due to drops, but they kept it very quiet. Only one chapter openly did informal. So informal in the spring will not be your best bet for a bid if you did not sign up for formal.
