Wow,. So you have an active sister of your chapter who is a writer for TSM and pretty much does nothing with her social media that doesn't involve some kind of shock value. Nice public representation of your sorority.

She's an amazing writer. If you are referring to the article that written about the school's current situation, it's spot on! Even parents and adults are sharing it. If it's not your point of view move on! And BTW I'm not an ADPi

She's a great person and a really funny writer and her article was the most honest thing written about this mess. Get over yourself.

This was a very well written article and I'm sure is the how the vast majority of students feel about what happened this week at Mizzou.

Actually, I'm not even really talking about that article. The fact that she is a current student here caught my eye, so I looked at her other posts. She is pretty much breaking every single PR rule that my chapter has. Guess you guys don't care. I'd be embarrassed as hell.

Amen seriously! This girl does not seem ADPi material, my house would not condone any of the things she's written, it looks so bad on you!

Perfect. Original poster is jealous she can't be so articulate. And no, I'm not even in greek life, just came to check this out after seeing that article shared by someone in my hometown. She speaks for the majority of the campus.

Really surprised, really surprised that ADPi is okay with the girl posting the article. Although I agree with some of her points, her word choice and sentence structure is very rigid and harsh. It does not put ADPi in a good light, she might only be one member, but her writing will be connected back to her chapter.

HOW is she allowed to post these things? All of her articles would get you kicked out of my house in an instant. An active member so less, what the hell?!!?

If your house kicked a girl out in an instant for something she wrote, you would have lawsuits raining down on you. We have a little thing in this country called the First Amendment and, yes, it covers just this sort of thing. So you just keep thinking she would be kicked out, but your national knows it would never happen.

The solution is not to let your active members get involved in something like this in the first place. We had a girl in my house who wanted to write for TSM and our e-board told her she'd have to wait until she was an alum and that she wasn't allowed to say what chapter she was affiliated with when she did write for them.

That is NOT what the first amendment covers. FFS. Read the constitution. Sororities aren't government entities. The first amendment ensures that you won't be punished by the government based on what you say. It applies to Mizzou because the university is a public one and is considered tantamount to a state agency. Sororities are completely different.

I highly doubt there is a sorority on this campus that doesn't have a standards policy of some kind. Your national org has expectations of its members. One of those expectations is that you not make an ass of yourself in public. If you do, you can be kicked out.

Surely you've heard the phrase "you are always wearing your letters."

Are you even in a sorority? Your standards can have someone disaffiliated in an instant for whatever reason they please.
