wanting the best for me
by: ThelmaI know I'm supposed to give every house a chance but if I don't get Chi Omega, Pi Phi, Theta, Kappa, Tri Delta , or Gamma Phi I don't want to settle for the others. I have outstanding grades, activities, honors, volunteerism, I'm musical and I'm pretty. Even though it doesn't sound like it here I'm very humble though also very popular at my school. Do very many people drop out of rush if they get their hearts set on these houses?

I get it...People need to be real on here...I went into rush a few years ago with 8 houses I was going for. I did the research and knew general info on each house. I also knew girls in many of the houses so I had a feel for the mean girl houses, hot do nothing houses, along with the smarter, more involved houses. Its not hard with all the social media. Many girls come in with a feeling about what a house stands for. It has nothing to do with tiers..so to the girl going for certain houses...I get it !!

When did rush turn into "I want to get into xyz house, or I'll drop". Sorority recruitment is about finding girls you genuinely clique with and want as your sisters, not faking some BS so you can feel good about calling yourself a certain house! OP, just as an example, girls who become Theta's are WAYYY different than girls who become Gphis (generally speaking). Please, do us all a favor and don't try to "fake" your way into a "good" house, cause that's NOT how you find a sisterhood.
