atleast from what i've heard, DG is the ONLY house here at mizzou that has had issues with hazing. that's why it was such a huge deal when people found out.

It's also important to say that the hazing WAS an issue, and DG got in a lot of trouble and had to deal with it with nationals. But that should not for any reason keep a girl from pledging now, since the chapter is moving forward. Sorry for the goody-good vibe, I'm part of Panhellenic and can't in good faith let anyone discourage going a certain house. Panlove to all!

If I had a younger sister/friend/relative going through recruitment, I would warn them about the house's past scandals, and tell them to think extra long and hard about whether it was what they absolutely wanted. Maybe this year will be the year that they start to shape up, but until they do I think PNMs should just think hard about it and be careful. I know nice girls in DG, yeah, but the house definitely has a past and I think it's something PNMs should take into consideration until the house starts to show signs of improvement (which they haven't yet)

How hard is it to get a bid to a house if you know noone in that house that can pull for you. I have heard that there are so many girls and then you have legacies and then you have the girls with their best friends going through in which they are getting pulled for. I basically heard that someone in the house has to be pulling for you. Is this true?

How many girls went through rush last year? Are they anticipating more this year? How many girls did NOT get a bid last year?

Well that's rude. You can go on and accuse me of being an AXO, whatever. You said yourself that AXO has generally sweet girls, but there's a handful of crazies. Now you're wishing a terrible rush on them because of that handful?

Not in every case has a girl been pulled or a legacy some girls come to mizzou knowing no one and getting a house AND just because you have people pulling for you doesn't mean you will get a bid. It varies

thanks! I am a DG, but pledged at a different school, and we NEVER hazed our new members. In all i want her to join the best house for HER, and I would just be heartbroken if she joined DG and was hazed.

How do houses decide how many girls they will take? Is there some formula?

Quota is set by taking the number of girls attending preference day divided by the number of chapters. New member classes should be very large again this year (80+).
