Some people just shouldn't drink. This is a ranking of grades, not retention rates.

It was a reference to the previous post about retention rates, unfortunately I hadn't been drinking quite that early lol

Their grades suck, their retention is among the lowest of all the sororities, the best PNMs won't go back because there are no grade cuts and their alums are extremely upset at the lack of standards -- and that's "just fine"? Are you joking? This sorority is a hot mess and, sadly, seems to be proud of it.

I'm sorry that an aphi hurt your feelings but I think it's time you move on

I know nothing about Alpha Phi itself except for what I learned in a very brief time period on the first day of rush. But I do read the many posts on here from Alpha Phis trying to convince us they are top tier and the hot house and that being ignorant works for them. I may just be a freshman but i sure know that's not the way to improve.

This is an anonymous site. Please refer to exact posts by documented members of Aphi saying that they are top tier and that dumbness works for them.

They DO NOT get the girls they want. Those girls choose gphi, tri delt or piphi. That is an absolute fact. But those girls choose gphi, tri delt or piphi because there are grade cuts and higher standards.
Do they get some pretty girls? Yes. Are they aphi's first choice? Definitely not. APhi's first choices are sitting in other houses.

Obviously you aren't an alpha phi so you can't really comment on their selection process can you?

This! 3.2-3.5 are all typical/average GPAs. Not great, just average. Making such a huge fuss about a bunch of mediocre grades makes no sense...

Just wait for this girl to make yet another thread dedicated entirely to alpha phi or better yet "her favorite little alpha phi" the obsession is real, the attention is next level, let's go.

Most will agree that they go after looks and end up with some of those girls, but OUTGOING PERSONALITY? That's too far. Unless you are referring to partying as 'outgoing' or 'social'. But that's part of the problem, too much 'social' which is why the gpa stinks. And when the gpa stinks girls drop or get kicked out. That plays in to their terrible retention. AND THAT is why they should care about grades!

So every house with a 3.2 gpa stinks or just one? So every house with a 3.3 gpa is stellar? Fact checking here. Also, please post your documented retention facts on every house.

(Also @what) Outgoing and social are synonyms, no? You must be one of those girls on the lower end of the GPAs... Side note, can't ever knock a sisterhood you don't belong to. One of my sweetest and most genuine sisters is just not all that academic. Academia isn't her greatest strength but damn, I love her to death - can't find a more loyal, sweet (and yes, gorgeous) sister than that! And hey, I still have a 4.0 even though my best friend struggles to get B's. Funny how low GPAs aren't contagious... if I believed everything I read on GR I'd sure think they were. 🤔

Not only do our sisters have subpar GPAs but our great Missouri as a whole is even worse, snaaaaaps to us! 🤗🤗

Tell that to my big sis at Johns Hopkins. Or the one at Stanford Law. news flash: when you apply to a professional school or grad school. you use your own GPA not that of your sorority (you idiot).

How about learn how to read, "idiot." I said our sorority's AVERAGE girl. How did you not understand that? You thought I was suggesting no one at all in Greek life is going anywhere? Your "sisters" clearly beat their sorority's average... idiot.

So who is the "average" girl? There is no such thing. So how would the "average" girl apply, much less be admitted, to a good grad school? And a "great corporate job"? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Oh my, the average girl's GPA in XYZ sorority is equal to XYZ sorority's average GPA... ie the topic of this thread. Therefore, the average girl in each sorority does not have a strong enough GPA to excel (grad school, serious career, etc.) I don't know how much clearer my point could be. Just stop now... or, you know, keep entertaining me. :')

This, I'd love to know that too. For example, it's INSANELY difficult to get super high marks in my program, I've gotten a few B's and I'm still in the top 2% of my class. While some courses are super easy, take ADPi for example, very very few ADPis are in stem courses so of course it's easy for those artsy girls to have perfect GPAs. Then there's Theta who is full of stem majors and kicks ass year after year. It'd be super interesting to see!
