The only houses that are definite in a tier:
TOP: no one agrees. Chi O is a definite maybe?
MID: adpi, axo, theta, kappa, DG are definite mid tier houses.
Bottom: this one is the easiest. SK, Phi mu, zeta, sigma are all definite in their tier.
TOSS UPs:
GPhi: some argue top or mid
Aphi: argued for any tier depending who you ask
Pi Phi: Top or mid
KD: bottom or Mid
tri delt: top or mid

Chi o pulls a totally different girl than most other 'top' houses, which secures their place. Chi O, with all respect, is made up of random girls and definitely not a 'girly' type. But they have some girly, sporty, jocky and most are pretty bright and ambitious. But they compete(if you can call it that) with adpi and kkg. They are a totally different type. PiPhi, Tri Delt, Alpha Phi, Zeta, Gphi all pull more the 'girly' type. Lots of changes going on, but yes, in that category, chio doesn't have much competition. Do they have some beautiful girls? Absolutely! But their house is also made up of many others. They are in no way your stereotypical 'pretty' house. That puts them in a league of their own.

chill girl. I think she's thinking there are 15 houses, so there should be 5 top, mid and low

The only houses that are top tier without question are ChiO and PiPhi. For the last two years during rush more than 95% of PNMs wanted to return to those houses, which means that PiPhi and ChiO were able to choose from the the biggest pool. TriDelt was a close third with 91% of PNMs wanting to return. I would still put TriDelt in the top tier until we KNOW otherwise, but there is some speculation that there are problems with retention in this house. The one thing I know for certain is that this will be a very interesting recruitment.

I wouldn't because their return rates have been consistently getting dramatically worse, esp the past two years and you can see that in their pcs

Tridelt's return rates are still in the 90's and their retention isn't in question....not all of their members were logged into org sync so when Greek Life totaled up grades not all members were counted that's why people saw a big drop

Tridelt may not have the huge retention problem that we thought they had when fall grades came out, but spring grades are now out and they're still below total. In fact, many houses are - Theta, AXO, Tridelt, KD, DG, Zeta, GPhi, Phi Mu, APhi, and Sigma are all below total - most of which were at total (300) at the beginning of the semester meaning they lost girls. Some of these houses even COBed and are still below (looking at you Phi Mu, Sigma, APhi, and KD). The only houses at total are Pi Phi, Kappa, Chi O, ADPi, and SK. Chi O and Pi Phi have the most girls of anyone, Kappa and SK are right at 300 and 301, and ADPi is right in the middle. Does TriDelt really belong in top when the upper mid houses like ADPi and Kappa have more girls than them?? I mean heck even SK has more girls than them and they're bottom tier. Being below total means that girls have dropped - they're not happy in your house. Do you really belong in top tier if girls aren't happy there? Shouldn't retention matter in determining tiers??
Anywho, this is bad news for the many houses below total going in to recruitment, because with the quota system every house gets about the same number of girls, which will leave the same houses below total next semester, especially if they lose anyone (and most lose a few before initiation)
