what happened to phi delt?

Were they recently kicked off campus? Did nationals purge the house? What is with the mysterious tweets.....

Yeah they were. They're most recent pledge class have been now named "alumni" and can't step foot on what will be the new Phi Delt property. Most are dropping and pledging somewhere else.

The new Phi Delt Property??? They might as well just shut down for 4-5 years and re-colonize.

When a chapter shuts down and re-colonizes they can no longer say they have been on campus for 50, 60, whatever years because technically they are a new chapter, and it hurts them during recruitment down the road. Phi Delt has a rich history here and at times has been a top fraternity (according to my dad who was here in the early 80s). The alums support the current action and don't want to give up the charter.

So basically they are doing a patch up job just to save their rich history. Yeah, like that's going to work. Patch up job or re-organizing usually ends up even worst than the original chapter.
