Phi Mu and Kappa and ZTA are under construction now.
Phi Mu and Kappa will complete construction and move in this summer.
ZTA will then move into the swing house occupied by Phi Mu and stay there one semester. ZTA's new house will be completed and move in will be December 2016.

AOII and Pi Phi are the next round. Both will build from September 2016 to December 2017. DZ is after that. Builidng from February 2017 to July 2018. I believe DZ will move into the swing house being vacated by ZTA and AOII will move into the swing house being vacated by KKG. Believe that Pi Phi will use the German House compound (which is where ZTA is this year) when they are under construction.

AOPi tears down and starts building in June. Yes, will be in the swing house currently being used by Kappa.

i've heard they're in debt so their plans haven't been approved yet. also they can't start building until aopi tears down anyway. it'll probably be another 2 or 3 years until they can start building

they have literally been lying about getting a new house to the pnms during rush every year. they won't be getting a house at least for 3 or 4 years. even the crimson white tweeted that pi phi, dz, and aopi all have had their plans approved, theta's hasn't been. they're in debt

not an aopi dz or pi phi... just proving a point that all of their houses have actually been approved and it's proven, and theta is just all talk. i can guarantee you their house will not be under construction for another three years at least.

I had a family friend that was a theta and they renovated their house like 5 years ago or so. I got to see the before and after and it was amazing all the work they did. So I don't really think they're first priority

What's wrong with their (Theta) current house?

nothing really, personally i love their house it's super homey. it's just that every house is rebuilding so they need to keep up. they don't want to be the only sorority without a new, bigger house. also the pledge classes keep getting bigger so everyone needs bigger houses

She is actually right, they have been lying to us about getting a new house every year. When I rushed this year I was told we were going to start building at the same time as aoii, but not a word has even been mentioned about a new house except for the fact that they cut basically all our funding for scholarship banquet and a lot of things are diy because we have no money for a house. Despite the fact that theta nationals has a housing corporation, they refuse to work with it. It's frustrating and I wished I hadn't gone through initiation. We can't have chapter in the house and the whole house can't fit in the dining room, not even the whole freshman pledge class can fit in any one room in the house. They honestly lied to us so much during recruitment and pledgeship.

You think that you would be happier next year with NO house -- not even the old German house that Zeta is using this year? All the swing houses and the German house seem to be spoken for next year. Even though the Theta house isn't as big as the other houses currently on campus, it still beats the vast majority of Greek housing across the country. And by waiting until AOPi tears down, Theta got to keep its lot. Seems to me like waiting to build until a swing space on sorority row comes open and preserving one of the best locations on campus is a good decision. Maybe that is why they don't let freshmen decide when to build.

There's a difference between not being able to build and telling people that you're building to recruit them and then reveal that not only are you in debt and you can't spend any money on decorations for things, but you're not getting a new house while you're in school. Then the sophomores get us put on probation so we can't have any swaps first semester, the freshmen got punished so much in comparison to the people who actually got us put on probation. Then this semester we keep having "trial" swaps and they force us to go to dinner swaps with crappy off campus frats because we "have to earn back the swaps" that it wasn't our fault we lost.

Sounds like an internal PR/Comms nightmare that did not have to happen. It's not fair to over promise and under deliver. It's always best to do the opposite.

Unfortunately there is so much pressure to improve housing with so many other chapters doing so. All of the "old" houses would be the envy of many other universities.
